The ethos of the company is to reduce, reuse and recycle and aims to change the throw away culture of society today. The company employs local people and creates local entry level jobs. The two high-street shops provide a community hub for local people to have a welcoming and affordable shopping experience, meet other residents and take part in workshops in furniture upcycling and repairs. The company has a large social media following of 2000 and the turnaround of furniture online is extremely fast.
The residents of the Borough of Enfield have a high mobility rate due to many families moving into the borough for short periods of time from neighbouring and central boroughs due to the UK housing shortage. There is currently a significant amount of regeneration and new housing as well as existing property voids and rehousing. These factors mean there is a high need of support for families moving into a new home. GADAB believes the basic essentials of furnishing a home helps to give every child in Enfield a good start to their health well-being. By having the opportunity to choose their furniture for themselves, families have a sense of ownership of their home often resulting in a tenant being more inclined to take pride in their home, treat it as a place they want to be and improve community cohesion and reduce anti-social behaviour.
The scheme recycles unwanted furniture which reduces landfill and the carbon footprint of waste disposal. House clearances are free for recyclable items and meets a need in the local area to quickly empty void properties needed for families on the housing waiting list.

The Upcycle market is trending as an affordable means of crafting bespoke furniture. Sales of chalk (furniture) paint have soared in the last 5 years with more new manufacturers entering a once monopolised market (Annie Sloane, Frenchic, EverGreen, Rustoleum).

We have found many lonely people strolling the local high streets, carrying out the same routine religiously day in day out. The workshop provides a community space for such people to join in or even to sit and watch what is going on and have a cup of tea/coffee and a biscuit.
Our company is recognised as being integrated with our community through listening to our customers and building lasting and meaningful relationships with them.
Increasing awareness of how to use tools & other electric DIY equipment so women especially can feel confident using these in their home. Ex-offenders can also use the workshops to help integrate themselves back into society. Elderly, disabled and otherwise lonely/isolated members of the public can take part in light arts and crafts.
By providing the tools, materials, equipment, project deliverers and work space we are teaching vital transferrable skills. This in turn helps to regenerate the community. Techniques such as Welding and Metal Manipulation can help people gain valuable experience if they are considering careers/studying to work on the railways and highways.
By implementing 'upcycling workshops' we will be able to widen the current criteria of the items we can accept under the free house clearance service (FHC). This means that we can remove damaged, broken, repairable items as well as items that can be sold directly in our shops.
The broken-damaged items will be sold at a massively subsidized rate to the workshop for users to practice, mold, mend, fix and paint into something new and bespoke. This will help to market the FHC service and make it more popular to service users.
Design-Technology, Trending, Modern Learning & Contemporary Creative & Art Techniques.

Being able to take pride in your home inspires and encourages people to keep their properties presentable to a high standard. Decorating and furnishing your home mirrors self-respect and confidence. Providing great quality affordable furniture leads to people living a better quality of life even if limited by lack of income. By supplying furniture painting workshops we can teach people new skills including the art of upcycling furniture! This venture not only provides the community with a social outlet of coming together and learning a new skill, but helps to sustain the environment and offers people a platform for capitalising on their creative talents. Our Pets are our Family!...
Our pets positively benefit the well-being of our families. Whether for our elderly owners living on their own, our kids or ourselves.
Sadly our animal family are the only source of companionship for some people. So what happens when an unexpected hospital stay, or worsening illness/disability starts taking over? Do the RSPCA have to step in and take over the animals welfare?
Not with our help!
We want to be able to support the relatonship between owner and pet for as long as possibe!
Pets are their reason for living, giving them a purpose, making them feel wanted and needed. Pets reciprocate by giving a feeling of protection from loneliness and despair.
Pets boost morale and help reduce stress by providing emotional security. They help to bring happiness and laughter and lift depression.
Therefore when Ill fortune strikes and the owner is suddenly unable to properly care for their best friend we want to be able to provide this much needed care and assistance.

The above costs are for start-up purposes only.
We hope to achieve ongoing funding, grants, attract volunteers and raise income via other commercial services in order to keep this project running.
There will be a target number of free service users for us to reach.
We plan to market our services to other other charities such as AgeUK, Over 50's Forum, Marie Curie, to name only a few. We will laso inform local police services and hospitals should we need to provide respite care to animals who are unexpectedley without their owners.
