Welcome The Langley Academy is a unique academy that serves the young people of Langley, Slough and further afield. Housed in an iconic new building, designed by Foster and Partners, it specialises in Science, pioneers the use of museum learning and aims to become a centre of excellence for sports, notably rowing and cricket.

About Us The Langley Academy aims for the highest achievement for all and to provide a welcoming, imaginative and creative environment which enriches the lives of all involved. We aspire to instil traditional values and promote respect for other beliefs. The Academy will strive to be at the forefront of Science education. We will develop links with national and regional museums to add an external dimension to learning.

Community As well as seeking to serve the educational needs of local young students we are also developing other areas where we can meet the needs of our local community. In this section you will find details of the range of excellent facilities available within our venue, details of the variety of regular clubs and activities which you can join and news of various events and issues relevant to Langley.

Sixth Form At The Langley Academy 6th Form our aim is to provide you with the knowledge, skills and qualifications to maximise academic achievement and develop a successful career. We offer courses that will challenge you physically, academically, creatively and personally, providing a range of courses with AS/A2 level and the BTEC qualification, we are able to tailor provisions to your individual needs.

While at TLA, you will have the opportunity of participating in a range of extra-curricular activities, work experience and contribute to both the Academy and the wider community through community service.

Since the opening of The Langley Academy in 2008, the 6th Form has quickly established itself as a thriving, successful and popular choice. In 2009 we opened our new 6th Form Centre allowing our students the private study and social facilities that our 6th Form students deserve. Our study facilities, within the dedicated 6th Form Centre, ensure that our students have the best possible resources for independent study and research.

We set ourselves high standards for the quality of learning and teaching and our dedicated, experienced and enthusiastic staff help provide exciting and challenging lessons aimed to enthuse and encourage independent learning. Students aren’t just taught to survive the rigours of the competitive university application process and life in the workplace, but complement their core studies by contributing to their community and mastering transferable skills such as negotiation, collaboration and cooperation.
